About Us

Dawn and Maurice live with their five Border collies, four cats and Louie the budgie in perfect harmony!! Dawn has been training agility since 1994 and competing since 1996. Both Dawn and Maurice like to keep agility training relaxed and lots of fun for all dogs and their owners.

BorderLyne's Border Collies are as follows:

Wiggy born 1996 retired from agility 2010. Sadly, Wiggy suffered a stroke Christmas 2009 and although she has made a good recovery it is time to put her paws up. Wiggy is a special girl and the best agility dog anyone could have wished for. Maurice has built a wooden bridge and dedicated it as 'Wiggy's Bridge'.

Millie born 1998 no longer competes in agility as an early accident caused her to develop acute arthritis. We keep Millie fit, healthy and happy as possible and she still loves to jump low heights at our summer demos. Her most loved place is next to Maurice wherever that may be. I suspect this is as much as his tendency to share his food as it is her love of him!

Echo born 1999 competed in the UK since 2001 and in Canada from spring 2008. Echo achieved his AAC Starters Title 2008 and his Advanced Title 2009. He now competes at Master level. 2010 will see Echo competing as a veteran for the first time. It is always difficult to accept a much loved dog is growing older but now is the time for Echo's agility to be a little easier.

Grace born 2005 qualified for and was shown at Crufts March 2006. Grace has mega enthusiam for life and agility which can sometimes make her a challenge in the ring. The winter of 2009/10 saw Grace's obedience training go back to basics to obtain reliable waits and stays under distraction. We are very optimistic for the 2010 agility trialing season.

Ruby born 2009 is a large part of BorderLyne's future. Alert and intelligent with a slightly calmer attitude than Grace we are confident she will prove her excellence in agility and conformation. Ruby's Dam is Jackscrofter Greatglen By My Girl, her Sire World Ch Sh Ch Littlethorn Continental. Superbly bred by Chris Green in the UK, Ruby came to Canada at 12 weeks in July 2009.

BorderLyne wants to continue this wonderful breeding in Canada so we have found the perfect mate for Ruby. A boy dog born 10th March in Scotland is joining our family June 2010. Tay's (as we have called him) Dam is Sixela Annie's Diamond Girl for Syanne or Asa. Bred and excellently reared by Ann Durie in Scotland, Ann competes with Asa in obedience trials in the UK and has had much success.

Tay's Sire is Littlethorn Colt at Tobermoray or Woody, a beautiful boy owned by Shepherdess Rachel Spencer in England. Rachel is very proud that she and Woody have achieved his sheep herding title in the UK.
